EXP – The intro to Axis Bold As Love album greatly impacted me and expanded my thoughts on sound and extraterrestrial life. The pitch processing on the vocals and guitar effects were equally as “alien” as the question Jimi posed. It was playful but provocative at once. His subtle wink at the end of the dialogue spoke to me as well. Hearing it on vinyl was a treat because it invited me to further manipulate it at different speeds.
